What can Pilates do for me? It will increase your core strength, Pilates is famously known for its emphasis on the core - the core is a group of muscles that flex, extend and importantly protect your spine.

Core Strength
I am a core strength specialist and always ensure that there is an element of this in my Personal Training sessions.
Building Core Stability by strengthening your abdominal's and your lower back muscles to promote a strong and healthy spine making it easier to perform daily physical activities and improve quality of life and correct your posture and reducing back pain.
Using all the equipment to hand to help you progress such as the TRX, Bosu, Swiss Ball, Medicine Ball, Wall Balls, Battle Ropes and cable resistance machines.

Strength & Conditioning
I am a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach and the benefits of using Olympic style lifts are felt not only by elite athletes but also my clients, keeping them injury free and developing strength and power to take their fitness to a whole new level.
Improve strength for your day to day life, your chosen sport, improve posture or use it to improve strength and tone.

I am able to provide you with sound knowledge to perform lifts with correct and safe techniques. It is one of my favourite forms of fitness training. Everyone should learn to lift.

Body Fat Loss
Diet
Poor eating habits and bad choices can be improved through the use of meal plans and food diaries. Diet is often the hardest to thing to change, but with my knowledge and support body fat loss can be achieved and more importantly maintained.
Sleep
We all know that a certain amount of good quality sleep is essential for fitness, body composition, mental attitude and all aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Having worked with a variety of clients, one ever-present theme was a lack of sleep. Anything under 7 hours of good quality sleep on a consistent basis has the potential to become detrimental. This is something that not only resonates with me,(having recently become a father at the age of 45) but many of my clients. Before anything else make good quality sleep a priority and its highly likely good things will happen.
Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats
Nutrition acts as a cornerstone to our well being, I place a great deal of emphasis on nutritional advice. I often use a 5-day food diary to encourage clients to think about their food choices. It is found that protein intake is lower than ideal. Protein plays an important part in the recovery process and as a result, anyone one involved in any kind of fitness endeavour has a high requirement. These requirements will vary based on age, body composition and type of exercise. Basically speaking aiming at 4-5 protein-rich foods would be ideal from a nutritional perspective.
Fruit and Vegetables
This may seem obvious but eating fruit and vegetables is an undervalued habit. An adequate intake is something that is generally lacking from the majority of people. By correcting this, you will feel fuller for longer after meals and gain control over your calorie intake, resulting in achieving your goals.


Bootcamp
Friendly, fast paced and effective
Circuit training, Bootcamp or outdoor group exercise, call it what you like, my unique style of Bootcamp will help you become fitter, stronger and lose weight. All to the sound of some funky tunes.

Bootcamp is located in the field behind Stratford Park Leisure Centre, next to the play park on Monday evenings at 6pm, each session is 60 minutes
​
Running on a continuous four week cycle costing £30 per block of 4 sessions.

Personal Training
I have my own Personal Training and Pilates studio at 12 Queens Road, Stonehouse. The studio is a clean, private and welcoming space designed to help my clients reach their health and fitness goals.
My approach to training is unique to each client, writing and updating programmes as professionals should, ensuring all exercise is done using the correct techniques to prevent injury as well as correcting any postural imbalances you may have.
