A healthy balanced diet means eating a variety of foods, including lots of
fruit and vegetables, plenty of starchy foods – such as wholegrain bread,
pasta and rice – some protein-rich foods, like meat, fish, eggs and lentils,
and some dairy foods. Your diet should also be low in fat (especially
saturated fat), sugar and salt.
We all know this!! The question is how do we make these practices routine?
I’m not going to tell you it is easy to break the habits set by our parents
the day we came into the world!
But it can be done, with a food diary that makes us think about what we
are putting into our mouths, and sometimes, more importantly, how
much. It is often the subtle adjustments to our daily lives that lead us to
the big changes and ultimately help us achieve our goals.
Every one of us is different, which is why my personal training works, by
us working as a team and discovering the best way to get what you want.
